Our Satellite club is set up for children from year 8 up.

It provides the opportunity to take part regularly in athletics through the creation of weekly-based sessions. The team delivers fun, competitive, engaging sessions through a variety of athletic disciplines that are designed for all levels of ability. It caters for many athletics activities – including jumping, throwing, running and hurdling – and complements other sporting activities.
It is run by fully licensed coaches and supported by assistant coaches and helpers – many of whom are members of the club.

Our training schedule

Sessions are available during term time as follows:

Mondays:

  • Year 8 up, 17:55 to 18:50 hours

Wednesdays:

  • Year 8 up, 17:55 to 18:50 hours

What you need for training

Wear trainers or spikes and appropriate (loose/stretchy) clothing, bring layers appropriate for the weather, a pre-filled water bottle and please remember to collect your belongings at the end as, sadly, there is no lost property facility at the site.

Track & Field

We provide track & field athletics for all ages and our members have the opportunity to train and compete in various track, jump and throw disciplines.

Cross Country

Cross country races are through the winter months, with courses that include long hills, short hills, technical challenges, grass and trails.

Road Running

Road running is all year round with various competitions available. Distances range from the mile to 5-10km, half and full marathons as well as Parkrun.
