Thank you to all those who attended this weekend's final YDL match at home. As suggested on my competing invitations, summer holidays did severely impact the numbers of athletes attending over all of the teams.

Thank you to all those who made the trip to Guildford on a very hot day, for the third match of the YDL Upper season. The trip was complicated by a large traffic issue on the A3 which caused mayhem for both athletes and officials alike. The start of the match even had to be put back an hour to allow for late arrivals.

Fresh off the back of a triumphant win at home, our next stop was the K2 Leisure complex in Crawley. Not being deterred by the threats of thunderstorms and showers, the team travelled in force and put on a brilliant display and secured many vital points as we continue our charge for promotion, where every point was made to count!

Following Sam winning the Hammer and Discus at the UK Police Championships this week he has been selected to represent the UK in the Czech Republic in August at the European Police Athletics Championships.

34 children competed in the second YDL LAG match of the season in Kingston on the 3rd June. The team finish 4th.

Our first Southern Athletics League match of the season saw Walton AC victorious, seeing off all-comers by a whopping 60 points!
